In Chapter 9 we will be reading about exciting and adventurous vacations. Some people like to go to the beach, while others enjoy the mountains. Some travel to another country, but some stay to enjoy what their country has to offer. For this blog, write about a vacation you had. It could have been a long vacation or as short as a day or weekend thing.
Here's one of my experiences:
One of my best vacations was unplanned. My aunt and grandmother were going to Chicago (my hometown) in the summer of 2004, and my cousin decided to join them with her kids. Then my other cousin and my sister said they wanted to go, too. Of course, I couldn't stay behind or leave my son and mom. We ended up with 13 family members going!!
It was a great vacation......our family in Chicago was very happy, too. It was like old times. We celebrated our cousin's birthday Hawaiian style and went out to many places. It was the first time for our kids getting on a plane and for many of us meeting other family members.
Some of the places we went to were the Sears Tower, the Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry, and Lincoln Park Zoo. We also went to Navy Pier where I had never gone to before. It's near the lake with a boardwalk (something like La Guancha). There are places to eat, rides, many shops, and live music. It's a great place to hang out. The best was Great America. It's an amusement park and we got to get on some awesome rollercoaster rides! I loved it!!
One of my cousins and I had to return earlier because of our jobs. It was so sad saying good-bye. It felt like the first time I came to live in Puerto Rico. Lots of tears!! I hope to go back soon!

ReplyDeleteThe best holiday I've had is when I stay in a cottage in the village of Patillas. I stayed with the father's family there. It was in the summer time. was an exciting experience because I did many things that I liked a lot. I was in the River. Catch many fish. I ride a horse and ride on. I tried many times and I had to help. Visit the town of track pins. I went to the beach and swim too. The best of the holiday we stayed there was my family I awake very late to talk, watch TV and spend time together. It was an experience I will never forget and I am happy to have been there.
ReplyDeleteLast summer I went to Tampa, Florida to visit my friends. I went only for a weekend. I liked it so much over there that I went to the travel agency to change my ticket but there was no chance of changing the date. I wanted to stay at least one week. Anyways, during my weekend in Tampa I went clubbing, shopping, drinking and a few things more with my friends. That was one of the best weekends of my life.
ReplyDeleteMy last vacation was last summer in july we whent to the village of Añasco. i have a lot uf fun i jump into the pool and beach and explore at nite the beach we were having a lot un fun until one of the neighbor of the village tell us to quip it down and we tell him that to live us allone that we were habbing fun whit my friens and family so he tell the manager and the manager quik us out. BUt i will doit again.
ReplyDeleteMy best vacation was the summer of 2006, when I came from Union City, New Jersey to Puerto Rico. I came alone with my kids. We went to the zoo in Mayaguez, with my nephew also came from New Jersey. Every day we went to visit my sister to enjoy the pool. We visited the Caña Gorda beach in Guanica. I shared with my brothers in faith, who missed much. I ate too much. Visit Barceloneta Prime Outlet, and the Tree House in Aguadilla. Enjoy a lot.
ReplyDeleteA really vacation for me was the first time I travel to MIAMI,FLORIDA it is a greate vacation because i win this tiket i sale JAFRA products and the company give it because i have a big group, I WIN wellthis is the first time for me to i go in a plane and go to another country,i stay in the LOWES 5 star HOTEL its big and beautiful i like becuese i go to shop see the beautiful beaches of miami and it its very familiar to me like P.R. but is very expensive country the most i like , i go to see the grates mansion of the famous like OPRHA,EMILIO and GLORIA ESTEFAN very beutiful i hope i go in another time.
